Quite frankly, you’ve got to pay attention to Facebook marketing strategies if you want to be on the cutting edge. Currently, Alexa ranks Facebook the number three website on the entire internet over the last three months. However, this month (September 2009) Facebook is rated #2, passing up both YouTube and Yahoo. The fact is, that the there is not a hotter social trend on the whole internet, and you should be taking advantage of it as much as possible. My goal in this article is to simply share with you how you can take some simple concepts and drive them straight into your profits.
Use hashtags with your keywords when posting your tweets. For example, is you have an article about FanContact Discount, use #Facebook or #Facebook marketing so that people searching for information about Facebook will find your content. Although it is possible for people to find your content without hashtags, but using the hashtag increases the value and ‘findability’ of your of your content. Hashtag contents have more relevance in searches; people look for hashtags on Twitter.
Marketing and advertising. There are different ways you can go with this one. Getting some pro-bono work from an art student is a great idea. Or paying them with free breakfast for a year? Think about your prospective clientele. Make a webpage, a fanpage marketing, a Twitter account. Post an ad in the local arts papers in addition to your local news rag.
Emphasis on the word “plan.” Too many individuals start out by just buying marketing products and doing “stuff.” That isn’t likely to work. Not a single successful marketer gets there by slinging spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks.
Big news on the Booth Brothers, they will be in attendance at the Mid-South Paranormal Convention. These guys lead very busy lives. They are CEO’s for “Spooked Television” for the SyFy Channel.
The reason: my very own fans were copying and pasting, downloading and stealing images so that they would not have to donate $40 for a piece of art that would easily fetch $180 in a gallery setting.
Start with small disciplines. Start making few comments a day in the discussion groups in your field. Start posting on the blogs. Write an article or two and see the response. Move on to hosting video. You don’t need to do everything. Identify your strength and passion and act accordingly.
